COMPANY OVERVIEW AND HISTORY
Momar Energy Trading Ltd was established in October 2010 with its headquarters in Abuja, in line with the mission of its founder – Mr. Umar Farouq Ali Mustapha to address and proffer innovative solutions to identified inefficiencies within the Oil & Gas industry in Nigeria.
M.E.T is currently operating in the downstream sector with plans in place to expand into the upstream industry in the nearest future. We are involved in virtually every facet of the energy industry which includes but are not limited to:
Supply, distribution and transportation of refined products and lubricants;
Marketing and Trading petrochemical products, crude oil, natural gas and refined products Energy efficiency solutions; to develop the energy resources (e.g. bio fuel) of the future.
ENERGY & EMERGING TECHNOLOGY
Technology is propelling our growth. M.E.T. is focusing on technologies that improve efficiency in the distribution, transportation and retailing of refined petroleum products.
M.E.T is also investing in the development of emerging energy technologies (e.g. Advanced Solar Technology) geared towards integrating advanced green-energy technology with energy generated by fossil fuel.

WHAT WE DO

M.E.T is currently operating in the downstream sector, with principal activities in the import of petroleum products, trading, oilfield chemicals and services and also a major supplier of petroleum products in Nigeria. After kicking off operations in October 2011, Momar Energy Trading Limited has been responsible for the importation of large capacity of refined petroleum products.​
PROCUREMENT
​Momar Energy procures a broad range of refined petroleum products and crude oil throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, and America. The products include Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), and Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS).
SUPPLY
Momar Energy is internationally recognized as well as well-resourced,its also a full-serviced oilfield Supply Company serving the regional Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Projects that offers the benefit of being a reliable single source supplier and applies project management to coordinate and integrate all associated equipment to meet customers’ needs including door-to-door services in compliance with international standards.
TRADING
In line with our vision, we are the leading indigenous physical traders of petroleum products in Nigeria. We trade large volume of cargoes to significant Oil marketers in the country as well as independent marketers.
M.E.T.’s activities in this period of extremely volatile oil prices have made it necessary to develop a derivative position that provides services to customers who require pricing stability.
Momar Energy is fast growing in Oil trading, actively making a market in the financial and physical products, with contracts ranging from spot to term.
